Workplace Discrimination Complaints Rise in 2006

Law in Life has been covering regarding workplace discrimination cases involving sexual harassment and discrimination and racial discrimination. When an employee is wrongfully discriminated or harassed at work, employees are entitled to pursue civil remedies in court, and an employer may not retaliate against an employee who does complain about the wrongful conduct.

That said, it has been reported that another large corporation, AK Steel Corporation has settled a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination and harassment. Click here to read the story. According to the story, AK Steel Corp. will pay $600,000 to the employees who claimed racial discrimination and harassment.
