Delayed Pet Food Recall Leads to Lawsuit

A recall of pet food products manufactured by Menu Foods was recently announced, pulling 60 million containers of dog and cat food that may be deadly to pets.  Read the full story by clicking on this link.

Prison Break Actor Lane Garrison Charged with Manslaughter

Actor Lane Garrison, who may be recognized for his stint in the Fox television show, “Prison Break,” has been charged with several felonies, including felony vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, felony driving under the influence causing injury to multiple victims and felony driving with a blood-alcohol level above the .08 percent legal limit causing injury. Atlanta Bus Accident Kills Six, Injures Dozens

Request to Limit Damages in Stanton Island Ferry Crash Denied

In 2003, a Stanton Island Ferry transporting dozens of commuters crashed, purportedly due to the negligence of the pilot, and due to the failure to abide by regulations requiring two pilots during docking.  The crash resulted in the deaths of 11 people, and many more were injured.  Subsequent lawsuits have been filed against the city, with potential damages totaling into the billions of dollars.  Read the rest of this entry »

Captain and Cruise Line Owner Charged with Misdemeanors in Fatal Boat Accident

In 2005, a cruise ship filled with 47 passengers set sail for a leisurely tour in upstate New York. The cruise however, ended tragically, with the deaths of 20 passengers when the ship capsized.
